March stayed a little too long this year.As does the slight nip in the air.I waited for April, so I would finally be a year older ,so that I could leave the sum of all my previous years behind , to start again.

There is something about birthday you know you will get one day , in exchange for a year of waiting.Like how it is in a long distance relationship .The build up excites you more than the meeting. The meeting is over too quickly ,too soon, leaving you waiting again for more.Unlike this March.A March, of which everyone has had enough.

My City started to breathe better ,its sidewalks cleaner.Only last December it was a choice to purchase masks, this February they’ve became a necessity. There is a constant ache in my heart when I look at how people around me are scared and yet move around because it is the only way to earn their meal ,for hunger is a pandemic much worse .I look at all these from within the walls of my home,I remind myself to be thankful that I have a home and million other things to be grateful for.

I can see how the world is sinking with every positive case.I notice how the definition of “people” is being reduced to ‘cases’ .How the definition of travelling changed from luxury to Risk factor.

how “ stay home, stay safe” changed to “homes are not safe either”

That being said ,what gets me through is the very fact that someone somewhere has it worse. The testament of which is my forever favorite book “THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL” ( I highly recommend this book ,and I’M damn sure you won’t ever regret it )

Anne says, in one of her diary entry “… so much has happened it is as if the world has suddenly turned upside down but as you can see “ I’m still alive and that’s the main thing”

The Diary is so much more relevant especially now, although its the magnitude of pain and despair she endured was much worse it still solid relatable.

The derivative of all the history lessons I’ve read is, even when everything falls apart, things still radiate the hope of imminent change, and the hope exists with or without us ,so you might as well choose to stick with hope so as to go back to what we all took for granted all throughout our lives “ a normal day”.

“ When the mind is positive , hope follows it like shadow and never really leaves”

( this is an excerpt from my journal and wasn’t exactly crafted for this but HEY! change is good they say:) )

THANK You for reading If you’ve read so far you might as well tap the clap icon .Please Write to me what you would like to read next .

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL STAY RESPONSIBLE AND SAFE.
